Halong Smile!

Quang Ninh province has set up a hotline to receive comments and feedback from domestic and foreign tourists on local tourism products to improve tourism quality.

Local media reported the scheme was an extension of the “Halong Smile” programme that allows residents and visitors to contribute their ideas and suggestions via the hotline 0336.282.282 or email:
The provincial People’s Committee vice chairman, Le Quang Tung, said the opinions will be published on the provincial web portal.
“The local authorities hope the public’s suggestions will help the province come up with proper solutions to improve the quality of tourism products and services.”
The “Halong Smile” programme was launched, 1 November, with the message calling on residents to sport a smile from the heart to improve tourism.
Halong Bay spans 1,553 sqm and includes 1,969 islands of various sizes. It is the most popular sightseeing destination in the north and was recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1994 and the world’s New 7 Wonders of Nature in April 2012 by New Open World Corporation, an associate of the New 7 Wonders Foundation.
It has recently been listed in the 20 geological wonders of the world by travel guide website Rough Guides.
