Bangkok Airways will add more flights on domestic and
international routes to meet an increase in tourist traffic to Thailand .
Flights will increase from Bangkok
on three domestic routes to Lampang, Krabi and Phuket as well as one
international route to Yangon .
Using ATR72s, the flight to Lampang will increase from two
to three daily starting 27 October. PG207 will depart Bangkok
at 1220 and arrive in Lampang at 1350, while the return flight, PG208, will
depart Lampang at 1420 and arrive in Bangkok
at 1550.
Also using the ATR72, the airline will add one more flight
on its Bangkok-Krabi route to three daily effective 1 December. PG267 will
depart Bangkok at 1320 and arrive in Krabi at
1440, while the return flight, PG268, will depart Krabi at 1525 and arrive in Bangkok at 1650.
The smaller aircraft allows the airline to offer higher
daily frequency and that adds convenience for passengers who want to have a
wider choice of departure times.
The Bangkok
– Phuket service will increase from seven to eight daily flights starting from
1 December and using the larger Airbus 320.
PG283 will depart Bangkok at
0910 and arrive in Phuket at 1035, while the return flight, PG284, will depart
Phuket at 1130 and arrive in Bangkok
at 1255.
On the Bangkok-Yangon route, the airline will increase from
three to four daily flights using a mix of Airbus 320s and ATR72s starting 27
October.
The additional flight, PG707, will depart Bangkok
at 1340 and arrive in Yangon at 1430, while the return flight, PG708, will
depart Yangon at 1520 and arrive in Bangkok
at 1715. Myanmar time is 30
minutes behind Thailand
time.
Currently, the airline operates flights to nine domestic and
12 international routes.
