ITE HCMC Promoted The Mekong Sub Region

International Travel Expo HCMC 9th 2013 (ITE HCMC 2013) took place from 12/09 until 14/09/2013 at Saigon Exhibition & Convention Centre (SECC), attracted over 300 exhibitors from more than 50 destinations with 18,000 inbound and outbound visitors.

 

This event is considered a trade forum for businesses trading in the tourism industry, particularly aiming at promoting inbound and outbound tourism in Vietnam and the Mekong Region.

This year, the booths were designed in the theme of big countries such as Germany, South Korea, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam. The fair included extensive activities of the "buyers" program and attracts media from the Americas, Europe, Middle East, ASEAN, China, and Australia.

In addition, within the framework of the event, there were many activities such as capacity-building workshop of Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam in implementing mutual recognition agreement on ASEAN labor tourism; referral destination workshop for buyers...

Also, the Tourism Ministers Meeting of 5 countries Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam; the meeting of the Mayor of the city in the Mekong Sub-region, the conference and collaboration tourism development in Vietnam - Russia, Introductory Workshop on the German market - Middle East…took place at the same time.
